Sara Desjardins is a Toronto-based family and children’s portrait photographer. Located in the east end, she’s happy to meet you in the beaches, in a cool location or even bring her home studio setup to your house. Comfortable working with both natural and studio light, she’s looking forward to meeting you and capturing your family, your way.
What inspired you to become a photographer?
I work as a Children’s Crisis Counsellor and everything about my work has taught me to appreciate the smallest things in life. A laugh. A giggle. A hug. Connections between people. It’s a privilege to capture those precious emotions today which will mean the world to someone tomorrow and always.
How would you characterize your style?
I describe my work as classic portraiture with personality. With more than 15 years experience as a counsellor, I’ve learned a thing or two about building relationships quickly and helping my clients feel comfortable. I feel this is what sets me apart from other photographers and allows me to capture natural moments as they happen.
Who are your clients and what should they expect?
My clients are everyday people who value the little things in life. My sessions are fun, laid back and customized to bring out personalities both big and small.
