Jennifer Ballard has been photographing families and children for 4 years. She carries the same passion for photography as she does for life. Her photography is fresh and fun while allowing the true character of her subjects to show.

What inspired you to become a photographer?

Photography has always been a passion of mine. After completing a Masters degree in Biochemistry, I traveled to India and Japan where I began to really hone my craft. When I returned and started photographing friends’ weddings and children I realized my inspiration came from the people I was photographing.

How would you characterize your style?

I feel my images have real emotions and I always like to let the true personalities of my subjects shine through. I want the viewer to feel like they know the people in the photographs, and feel as if they were there.

Who are your clients and what should they expect?

My clients love photography and understand how precious life’s moments can be. I am easy going and I’m told all the time how comfortable people feel with me. Some people even find me funny.

Anything else to share?

I love watching my clients’ families grow over the years. It is really fun for me to do a maternity session, and then meet the newborn, and then see them again when they are sitting up and all smiles. I love seeing how much they change.
