Negin Sairafi is a Toronto-based fine art portrait photographer specializing in capturing families of all ages. Working out of a natural light studio she captures light-hearted, candid moments.

What inspired you to become a photographer?

Photography transcends time – the simple fact that we are able to freeze a single moment in time never ceases to amaze me. I want people to look back at their family photos years from now and feel the beauty and joy of that moment.

How would you characterize your style?

I work out of a natural light studio and absolutely love photographing families in this environment. The best photos are taken when everyone involved feels comfortable. Once I have everyone in the right frame of mind I let the chips fall where they may and just capture what I see.

Who are your clients and what should they expect?

My clients should expect a relaxed, fun and seamless studio experience. When they look at the photos from their session they should expect to gasp or get a little emotional; sometimes looking at the love within your family can be remarkably moving.

I also teach photography to moms. I know how difficult it is to photograph babies and kids so it’s an absolute pleasure to be able to share my experience and expertise. You can find information about my classes here.
