What inspired you to become a photographer?
I used to work in the production end of the motion picture industry and spent a lot of time on movie sets. Watching so many cinematographers doing their thing inspired me to pick up a camera myself, something I hadn’t done since I was a kid. Once I started again I was hooked.
How would you characterize your style?
For family and children’s portraits I generally use natural light and strive hard to capture the perfect “moment.” To me this is what still photography is all about. With kids especially you have to be quick! I also try to bring a fine art sensibility to my work.
Who are your clients and what should they expect?
My clients are so diverse it would be hard to characterize them easily. Anyone who shoots with me should expect to discover that I’m a fun guy and maybe even a bit of a goofball. I’m not a brooding genius.
Anything else to share?
I offer the option of prints or a DVD of all the best images from a session. Whatever clients prefer.
