Toronto Botanical Gardens
Enjoy a day of spring planters and champagne at the Toronto Botanical Gardens with their Mother’s Day: Spring Planters and Champagne Reception. Gather for a glass of bubbly before taking a sweet smelling walk around the city’s well-known gardens. Mom can then design her own planter with designer Sarah Jameson from Sweetpea’s. On from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, the event requires pre-registration.

Casa Loma is full of events to celebrate Mother’s Day just right. Through the Garden Gate offers a private tour of the castle’s gardens and a question and answer session over coffee on the terrace. If you like what you see, be sure to stop by the plant sale in the front courtyard of the castle. Children can have their own fun with The Secret Garden: a tour of the gardens, sampling edible plants and tasting honey from the beehive!

Mother’s Day at the Zoo
What could be nicer than spending Mother’s Day outside, with some real wild moms? Meet Puff, the African penguin, Ngozi, the Western lowland gorilla and Lily, the ring-tailed lemur just a few of the Toronto Zoo’s moms. Trinity Bellwoods Chocolate Tour
What could be sweeter than a walk through some of the best chocolate shops inToronto? Tasty Tours Toronto launches their Chocolate Tour on Mother’s Day weekend. The walk takes your through King West and Queen West between Spadina and Ossington. Sample some chocolates, learn where chocolate comes from, chat with the chefs and enjoy some great discounts. The tour runs approximately three hours and is open to children.
