Photography in Toronto: Join Our Photo Walk

Join TMN on its first KidClicks Photo Walk with family and child photographer Diana Nazareth. What’s a photo walk, you ask? It’s a fun, novel way to explore the city with your kids while learning how to take better photos of all the interesting things that cross your path.

Photographer Diana Nazareth will serve as your guide and will provide you and your kid with a simple assignment that will get you started on your walk. As she strolls along with you, she’ll answer any specific questions you have about your camera and will make suggestions on how to take the best photos of anything you’d like to capture while on the walk.

Our KidClicks Photo Walks will be a great way for moms to meet other moms, and for their kids to have fun exploring their new environment with other kids. After the walk, you’ll be encouraged to upload and share your photos to a KidClicks Flickr page and on our Toronto Mom Now Facebook page. You and your kids will be excited to revisit your outdoor experience and to see everyone else’s photos! We recommend that you participate with kids ages 5-12 but younger siblings are welcome to come along.

What you’ll need: You’ll be sharing the camera with your kid or kids, so a simple point and shoot camera will do just fine. If you’re already a photography enthusiast feel free to bring your DSLR with you. But, please consider bringing a smaller camera for your child.

Also, make sure you bring hats, sunscreen, and snacks for your kids.

We hope to meet you on the walk!

When It’s On: Sunday June 3rd, 2012, 3-4pm

Please meet in the South parking lot at the Evergreen Brickworks and we will start the walk from there.
