Sarah Newcomb of Sleeping Is For Loserstop 30 toronto mom bloggers sarah newcomb

Sarah Newcomb is a former teacher, a current freelance writer/editor, an awful gardener and an insane book devourer. When she’s not tweeting (@sarahnewk), she’s busy trying to figure out how to balance the life of a work-at-home mom with the needs of her two young sons, a sports-nut husband and one grumpy cat. Her blog, Sleeping Is For Losers, was born out of necessity after giving birth to her first son in 2009 – a son who cried endlessly and slept never. Since then, Sarah has made it her mission to use her blog as a place where the real, the good, the bad, and the ugly sides of motherhood are discussed. Raising two sons has been the hardest job she’s ever had, but she’s loving every lesson they teach her – even the ones that involve no sleep!

Cheryl Leung of Kids On A Plane

She hopes that her blog will encourage parents to explore the world with their kids whetherit be by plane, train, car, boat or bus. In between blog posts, tweets, pins, and status updates, you can find her at her computer researching a future trip or discussing her favourite food finds during her family’s travels!

Hollie Pollard of CommonCentsMomtop 30 toronto mom bloggers hollie pollard

Hollie Pollard, a.k.a. CommonCentsMom, has been blogging in some form for over 10 years now, with her CommonCentsMom blog being five years old! She writes about life in Toronto as a frugal mom. Jeni Marinucci of highly irritable

top 30 toronto mom bloggers jeni marinucciJeni Marinucci is a freelance writer with two children. She has a guilty conscience, countless dead hamsters (see “guilty conscience,”) and a questionable home-haircut. At 34 she returned to University to complete her B.A. in English Literature, a designation which has provided her with an extensive library and crushing student debt. When no teaching college wanted her, she had to choose between taking orders through a window, or taking orders from an editor. She chose the latter. Her neighbours wish she would cut her lawn. Jeni keeps a blog at highlyirritable.wordpress.com and is on Twitter at @highlyirritable.

Katia Bishops of IAMTHEMILKtop 30 toronto mom bloggers katia bishops

Katia is a mother of two boys, a four year old and a 10 month old. She writes about them and occasionally about her husband, a 37 year old. Currently on mat leave, she’s fulfilling a lifelong dream of writing and making people laugh. And sometimes cry, which was not her dream nor intention. Katia writes for MamaPop and was featured on: Scary Mommy, Mamapedia, Mumsnet Bloggers Network and in print (Life Well Blogged – Parenting Gag Reel). The serious stuff that she writes about includes immigration, fertility and miscarriage. Find her at: iamthemilk.wordpress.com and on Twitter where she’s @KatiaDBE.

Laura Watts of Double Take Organizing

top 30 toronto mom bloggers laura wattsOnce upon a time Laura Watts realized that she had an unhealthy obsession with organizing which lead to the drastic decision to quit her job and open her own organizing business. A lifelong writer, it was only natural to start up doubletakeorganizing.wordpress.com and since she still needs a mommy outlet she also blogs at lovemarriageanddirtydiapers.wordpress.com. She has two beautiful little girls and a pretty spectacular husband, which she admits is one of the reasons she is able to do all of the things she does on a regular basis. Even though she likes to organize she doesn’t claim to be perfect. Like everyone else she is trying to figure out this thing called life a little bit each day but if her blog posts can help just one mom out there she is a happy girl.
