It’s the most magical time of the year. Santa Claus is coming to town in a few short weeks. It’s time to dress up the kids, head to the shopping mall and go visit with Santa. It’s the same thing every year; line up, hop on his lap, snap a picture and off you go. This year the Toronto Eaton Centre has changed things up. Timber Block has built a beautiful wood cabin, outside the Eaton Centre in Trinity Square, where Santa will be welcoming his guests this holiday season. It’s a kid-friendly Toronto twist on a holiday classic.
A Kid-Friendly Toronto Twist on a Holiday Classic
Forget the long line ups, families can pre-register for a time slot to meet with Santa in the cabin. Santa will be in the cabin, for scheduled visits, on Saturdays and Sundays from December 1st thru December 23rd, 2013. If you cannot get an appointment, on Friday November 29th, December 6th and December 20th, 2013 families can drop in and see Santa as well.
Inside the lovely wood cabin children will have plenty to do. Hot chocolate will be served and there will be children’s activities too. Santa will be reading his favourite holiday book and then kids can hop on Santa’s lap and share all their Christmas wishes. Don’t forget your camera – parents can snap a picture of the children on Santa’s knee (there will be no professional photographer present). Families should allow for about 20-30 minutes for their magical visit with Santa. If you can’t make it down in person, families can opt to Skype with Santa. Again, book an appointment time and families will meet one-on-one with Santa, online.
Bring the Pets, Too
Santa’s cabin isn’t just kid-friendly Toronto fun, it’s also pet-friendly. Bring your pet on Pet Pic Days and feel free to take a picture of your pet with Santa, with a donation to the Toronto Humane Society.
So, this holiday season skip the usual shopping mall Santa and head inside Santa’s Cabin at the Eaton Centre. Head over to the Christmas Remixed website to book your appointment and for all the further details.
