Where to Shop in Toronto: Gluten Free Garage Fall Edition

About six months ago, we filled you in on the Gluten Free Garage, which is worth adding to your list if you’re wondering where to shop in Toronto for gluten free goodies. The event is back, just in time for the holiday season. Whether you yourself are gluten free, or you’ll be hosting someone with Celiac disease over the holidays, the event will connect you the city’s many gluten free food providers.

Where to Shop in Toronto for the Gluten Curious

Gluten Free Garage returns to Toronto on November 17, 2013 from 10:00am – 4:00pm. You’ll find it in the Artscape Wychwood Barns, at 601 Christie Street just south of St. Clair Avenue. This pop-up marketplace is like a farmers’ market with a gluten free twist. It showcases the city’s finest gluten free offerings, bringing together over 60 carefully selected vendors for a day of one-stop gluten free shopping and eating. If you attend you’ll hear guest speakers, enjoy delicious fare from food trucks, and find fun activities for your kids.

With increasing rates of Celiac disease, as well as gluten intolerance and insensitivity, coupled with the popularity of books like Wheat Belly, the demand for great gluten free food is on the rise. In fact, a recent survey from the NPD Group estimates that almost one third of adults wants to either reduce or eliminate gluten from their diets. This event is a great way to learn more about just how to do that, with information, coupons, food samples and more. The Gluten Free Garage is where to shop in Toronto this fall whether you’re currently gluten free, or just considering it.
