When my kids think about cooling down, the first thought that enters their minds is ice cream. Fortunately, Toronto is filled with great ice cream shops. We’ve taken on the terribly challenging task of narrowing down our 5 fave t ice cream shops in Toronto. With three locations around the city, it is now easier to get a cone filled with Ed’s delicious frozen selection of ice creams and gelatos.


The Big Chill: When you think of an ice cream shop, you probably think of the traditional soda shop of the 50’s and 60’s. That is exactly what you will find at The Big Chill, at College and Manning. Step back in time and order up a banana split or shake. The Big Chill also serves up waffles and crepes…perfectly paired with ice cream.


Greg’s Ice Cream: For the last 30 years, when folks living in the Annex go out for ice cream the head to Greg’s Ice Cream. The ice cream parlour is a neighbourhood institution. The self proclaimed “Happiest Ice Cream on Earth” is now spreading the happiness in the Distillery District.
