November 28th marks the beginning of this year’s SHOP.CA Toronto Christmas Market presented by American Express in the Distillery District. The Christmas Market has become a favourite event for families in and around Toronto. The market is 21 days full of festive treats, shopping, music and dance performances. With some 36 vendors and over 240 free performances, there will not be a shortage of things to see and do during the fifth annual event.

Carolling: Visitors will listen to and participate in, Christmas carols daily at the SHOP.CA Toronto Christmas Market presented by American Express. Each night the Candy Cane Carolers will fill the main stage with all the holiday favourites. December 21st at 5pm event organizers will try to break the world record for the most carolers singing in one place with the World Carroling Challenge. More than 45 incredible choirs, carolers, brass bands and dance groups will also take to the stage during the Market.
Chocolate: It wouldn’t be the holidays without chocolate. KINDER and merci will be at the Toronto Christmas Market providing visitors with a sampling of delicious chocolate. KINDER invites families to unwrap smiles while taking fun holiday photos at the interactive KINDER Smile Booth. Stop in at the merci booth, on Tankhouse Lane, to sample and purchase the finest assortment of European chocolates and enter a draw to win a merci holiday gift basket.

The Tree: There is something magical about a beautifully lit Christmas tree. This year visitors will be amazed by the majestic 52-foot white spruce featured at this year’s Market is donated by Forests Ontario and Ontario Wood. The tree comes to life with twinkling lights and decorations. Bring home your own Ontario-grown Christmas trees and wreaths from the Forests Ontario booth on Gristmill Lane.
