We’re not sure how the time flew by so quickly, but Thanksgiving’s over and it’s nearly Halloween! If you’re wondering where to find the best (and least expensive) Halloween costumes in Toronto, we put together a list of some great places to check out.
Where to Shop in Toronto: Halloween Costumes for Kids
Families in Toronto’s east end have been keeping a secret…it’s the fabulous Bumbleberry Kids. If you are looking for an inexpensive, second hand, costume you have to head to Bumbleberry Kids – but you had better get there quickly. This Queen Street, East shop carries quality, previously loved children’s clothing at a fraction of the original price. My sister just picked up a Princess Leia costume there last week…adorable.

Value Village has become the “go-to” store for Halloween in the city. With 5 locations in Toronto, and many more in the GTA, there is bound to be a location close to you. Whether you are looking for a new costume, used costume, wigs or Halloween accessories – Value Village has got you covered.
Home to great previously loved children’s clothing, Once Upon A Child is also a great source for Halloween costumes. If you happen to have a costume to give, feel free to drop them off and reap the benefits of this perenial favourite kid consignment shop.

LCBO and Grocery Store
Okay, sometimes you have to think inside the box. Does your kid want to be a robot, a rubix cube, or a television? There are a lot of costumes that require boxes and the LCBO and most grocery stores are a great source for boxes. Make sure you choose a clean one (no kids wants to smell like rotten spinach) and get crafty.
Not surprisingly, one of the best spots in the city to find new Halloween costumes for kids is Mount Pleasant Avenue’s Kids Costume. This store had a wide variety of high quality costumes and accessories in store…in fact many of the costumes are made in store…amazing.
