Each month will bring a new theme to Family Sunday programs. The kick-off to the 2016-2107 season of Family Sundays is exploring the wonder and awe of “little things”, and the fascinating practice of making tiny objects and miniatures – all inspired by the Small Wonders: Gothic Boxwood Miniatures exhibition.

December’s Family Sundays will shift focus and take inspiration from the mystery and magic of the night skies, constellations and stars. It’s cosmic, inter-galactic “Super Stars” fun! Join the AGO for otherworldly play and sparkly night sky art-making activities inspired by the Mystical Landscapes: Masterpieces from Monet, Van Gogh and more.

Family Sunday and Hands-On activities include creating our own intergalactic world of cosmic pets, extraterrestrials, spaceships, shooting stars, undiscovered planets, and more. Make sky viewers and constellation books, and play with things that twirl and whirl and swirl.

All Family Sunday programs are included in the price of regular admission to the AGO. Programs run from 1 to 4pm in the Weston Family Learning Centre.

When visiting the gallery families may also like to explore the other galleries, visit the kid gallery, pick something special up at ShopAGO and grab lunch at Frank or the AGO Cafe.
