For the 94th year, The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is opening at the Ricoh Centre and the Direct Energy Building, at Exhibition Place. If you’re wondering what to do in Toronto that includes cows, horses, butter sculptures and giant vegetables – it must be the Royal. President’s Choice Animal Theatre – The President’s Choice Animal Theatre is back again this year. The theatre will be hosting a number of events, including; sheep herding, rabbit jumping, horse demonstrations and the ever-popular President’s Choice SuperDogs. The Animal Theatre will showcase hours of captivating and educational programming each day.
The Royal Horse Show – The incredible Royal Horse Show has been ranked the number one indoor equine competition in North America. Watch a variety of the best national and international competitors, including the first Grand National Shetland Pony Racing. Guests will learn about the remarkable role horses and dogs played in WWI at the special Remembrance Day at the Royal, on November 11th. Tickets to attend the Royal Horse Show need to be purchased in addition to regular admission.
Food and Lifestyle Stage – This stage will be home to numerous food and chef competitions and demonstrations. Watch the crowning of the Road to the Royal Chef Challenge, a competition that has been taking place at various agricultural fairs, culminating in a winner being selected.
The A-maze-ing Food Journey – Families can discover the journey the food we eat takes from the farm to the dinner table. You’ll also find award winning honey, maple syrup, jellies and jams. Of course the Giant Vegetable Competition is another show favourite.
