West Side Pizza Places

One of the most stressful things to attempt with young kids is a meal out. Let’s be honest – sometimes it is easier to just keep them at home, but we as parents deserve a weekday break from the meal time grind from time to time. Pizza is always a hit with the littles so here are my three fave west side family friendly Toronto pizza places.

Pizzeria Defina

This was our neighbourhood go-to for a family dinner out when our eldest was little. It is on the small side but has quite a bit of seating. They have a large wood pizza oven and a good wine and beer selection. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait, so it’s good to get there early. If you do have to wait, there is a chalk board wall that they don’t mind sharing with your small budding artists! I would recommend this with slightly older kids (2.5 and up) as there are no places to store strollers and it’s best if your kids don’t require a highchair.

Lambretta Pizzeria

Located on lower Roncesvalles Ave, Lambretta pizza is a large space with many tables and is very baby friendly (lots of high chairs are available). Their menu is very much both adult and kid friendly and parents can enjoy a well deserved glass of wine while their kiddos play in the dedicated play corner, complete with books and toys (all well-used but still serviceable).

Pizzeria Libretto

There are four locations across Toronto, but the original Ossington Ave location has special meaning to me. When my first child was a newborn, I would meet my best friend and her newborn there before post-natal yoga. They have an fantastic prefixe lunch special. All their pizzas are molto bene!
