Every now and then, parents need to get out and enjoy some quality time together – without the kids. One of the best excuses for booking a babysitter is the annual festival of food, Winterlicious. The list dining options is long and delectable. Winterlicious is a prix fixe event that takes place in over 200 restaurants in Toronto. From Jan 27- Feb 9, 2017. participating restaurants will be offering mouth-watering three course dinners ranging from $28-$48 and lunch menus from $18-$28.

Making Reservations – Reservations are OPEN! For a complete list of participating restaurants, head to the City of Toronto’s official Winterlicious site. There you’ll see daily listing of restaurants that are taking reservations. Aside from viewing the daily listings, you can also sort the restaurants based on price, type of cuisine and location.
Culinary Events – Winterlicious also includes a selection of culinary events themed around Canada’s 150th birthday. Nine one-of-a-kind ticketed events featuring some of Toronto’s top chefs, most unique venues (including Casa Loma!) and most delicious food (from Caribbean soul food to poutine) .
Vegan? Or, Vegetarian? – If you happen to be vegan or vegetarian, never fear, there are options for you too. While perusing at the restaurant list, look for the little green “V” symbol and you will find veggie-friendly menu options. Where you see a green “L” that symbolizes menus that include local Ontario produce, meat and food ingredients.
