What to Do at the T.O. Zoo this summer!

The Pandas may be gone, but there’s plenty to see and do at the Toronto Zoo this summer from a speedy new zipline to giant turtles and endangered tigers to movie nights, and of course the amazing splash pad.

Wild Woods Zipline and Canopy Tour 

Zip through the scenic Rouge Valley, literally. This eco-themed zipline takes you down a  cable line at 40 + kms/hr capping with a thrilling zip drop to the landing platform.

Aldabra Tortoise Outdoor Exhibit 


Three giant Aldabra tortoises, one of the world’s largest tortoise species, have returned to the Toronto Zoo after being away for almost 20 years! The male Rasputin weighs in at over 186 kg, and females Queenie at 75.8 kg, and Malila at 69.3 kg.

Asian Carp Exhibit


Check out the The Big, Bad, and Ugly Asian Carp Exhibit for the first time in Canadian history.

The Amur Tigers

Two endangered Amur tigers Kira (the female) and Vasili (the male)  return to the zoo after a five-year haitus. The tigers will be housed in the former home of the Giant Pandas.

Tuesday night at the Zoovies

Cap off your day at the zoo with a chilled out movie starring all the kids favourite animals.

Wild Weekdays at Toronto Zoo

Also new for this summer are nine weeks of special events held weekdays until August 31, 2018. Meet some of your favourite Character friends, take in a family-fun movie (above), bring your favourite stuffy for a check-up, paint with friends or squeeze in a few downward dogs at Zoo yoga sesh. Event reflect the zoo’s mission of inspiring passion to protect wildlife and their habitats.
