Where to get a live Christmas tree in Toronto

St Lawrence Market

Jeff the Tree Guy is the best place to get fresh and local trees and wreaths, according to many locals. His stand runs from the last week in November until December 24th.

92-95 Front St East, Toronto

EZ Tree

Don’t have a car? No sweat, EZ Tree will deliver a Christmas tree to you. They’ll rent you a tree stand, and even dispose of the tree for you at the end of the season. Definitely not the cheapest option, but probably the easiest.

Scouts Canada Tree Lots

Many local Scout troops run Christmas tree lots, and it’s a great way to get a tree and donate to kids activities in your neighbourhood. Check out the 91st Glenrhodes Troop tree lot at the Grant African Methodist Episcopal Church at 2029 Gerrard St East.

Elliott Tree Farm

A family tree farm dating from 1890, you can harvest your own Blue Spruce, White Spruce, or White Pine. There are pre-cut Fraser Fir and Balsam Fir as well. They open November 28th.

9467 Erin East Garafraxa Townline, Hillsburgh

Erin McGann

Erin McGann is Managing Editor for Toronto Mom Now and Vancouver Mom. She drinks just a bit too much coffee, is a bit obsessed about sourcing local food, plays the cello moderately well, spends too much time on Twitter, keeps honeybees on a rooftop, and has a thing for single-malt whisky. Erin is working on a novel set in turn-of-the-century Vancouver, which her husband, son and dog have to hear about all the time, and also blogs at Erin at Large.
