Winter Stations 2018 a riot for families

If you haven’t been down to the waterfront to check out Winter Stations, go with the kids for this stunning outdoor exhibition. it may not be laugh out loud funny, but the theme of this year’s temporary installation series is RIOT. “The winning designs are a comment on “the past year’s political upheaval and continued global uncertainty.” As with all public art, kids now exactly how to interact with it.

Now in it’s 4th year, the Winter Stations international competition challenges artists, writers, musicians, designers, architects and landscape architects re-imagine the lifeguard stands on Toronto’s waterfront as whimsical works of interactive public art.

The seven creations are spread across the east end beaches including Ashbridges Bay, Balmy Beach and Kew Beach.
